Pre-Sewn Upholstery Kits

Please do not buy a pre-sewn upholstery kit and bring it to us to install.

Here's why:

1. We are an upholstery shop, and selling the materials that we install in our customer's vehicles is part of our business. You can buy the same kit from us at the same price or even less than you can buy it elsewhere. By purchasing it elsewhere, it takes business away from our shop. That being said, we will install your kit, but we will charge an additional fee.

2. We cannot warranty an item that was purchased elsewhere. When you buy through us, we back up our work and the materials that we use. If you have any trouble with our materials or workmanship, we will do our very best to make it right.

3. We cannot work with the manufacturers of your kit if something is wrong. This is often the case when someone buys a kit intending to try the installation on their own then realizing that it takes a lot more skill/experience than they imagined. The kit sits around the garage for years, and by that time it is too late to return it if the kit was wrong or had some issues.

The best advice we can give you is, to let us do everything for you. This is what we do, and we have been doing the same thing for more than 30 years.

There are only a few companies in the USA that actually cut and sew these kits, and the many companies on the internet that sell them are simply reselling the products of those manufacturers. The main goal of these resellers is to sell you a kit, and they often make it sound easier to install than it actually is.

We buy directly from the manufacturers, and we have a working relationship with them. Furthermore, we cut and sew ourselves. We can help you decide if it is better to buy a pre-made kit and have us install it (which it often is), or have us make something out of raw materials. We all want to save money, but trying to do something that you are not qualified to do often leads to extra expense and frustration. Sorry to be so direct, but we have seen it so many times that we feel it's best to be direct and try to save you a lot of trouble.
